Comments: This counterfeit half dollar was cast and appears to be a very convincing counterfeit. Probably made of lead, it appears to have been washed in a silver color that is partially worn off. It weighs 18.46 g. and has 150 distinguishable reeds. Diameter measured at 1.1204". Both obverse and reverse are lightly pitted and the reverse has doubling on the legend. Rarity is unknown but it is the only CC counterfeit half dollar seen.
