Macro Images Of Triple Struck Obverse

Comments:  Copper colored example exhibiting triple strike. There is uncertainty if the tripling of features is on the die or a strike artifact but convention wisdom suggests a striking issue. Crude obverse engraving with featureless Liberty and AMERICU misspelling. Reverse engraving is nicely executed in general and uses thin pointed denticles.

Plate Coin: B. Greer Collection, EF Grade Estimate
