LSCC Award History
The
LSCC instituted a Best Article Award
in 1982, which was changed to the Ahwash Award
in 1984 to memorialize the passing of Kam Ahwash, the first President
of the LSCC. The award is given annually by a vote of the membership
for the best article to appear in the Gobrecht Journal.

In 1991, the LSCC awarded the Gobrecht Journal
Award for the best article to appear in the
first fifty issues of the Gobrecht Journal. Again in 2009, the
Gobrecht Journal Award for best article was presented for best
article in fifty-first through one hundred Gobrecht Journal issues.
